DESCRIPTION:Dana Gargus is the regional long-term care ombudsman for Kitsap
  County. Dana and trained volunteers provide long-term carte residents wit
 h easy access to a personal\, on-site advocate who is mandated to work onl
 y on behalf of residents. In Washington state\, a LTC Ombudsman:\n\n\n 	Vi
 sits their assigned facilities on a weekly basis\, spending about 4 hours/
 week working on behalf of residents\;\n 	Works to resolve issues of reside
 nt care\, resident rights\, family matters\, and finances\;\n 	\nMakes it 
 his/her business to get to know the residents\, their families and staff\;
 \n 	Consults with residents and helps residents get answers to their quest
 ions or concerns\;\n 	Refers potential cases of abuse\, neglect\, retaliat
