Fire CARES

We catch up with Julie Rogers, the administrator for the Fire CARES program. Started about five years, ago, the program aims to respond to behavioral needs in the community — and reduce strain on fire and police staffs for calls that don’t require crisis response, but still definitely require assistance. Typical needs include chronic medical issues, substance use disorders, home safety issues, and more.
