Warming Center

The City of Bainbridge Island may activate the Senior Center as a Severe Weather Center. It is located in the Waterfront Park Community Center on Brien Drive. Staffing will be provided by trained volunteers. The City may designate the Center as a daytime warming center or an overnight shelter.

Unfortunately pets cannot be accommodated due to the consideration of allergy issues for other attendees. You will have to find accommodations for your pets prior to coming to the Center.

If you cannot arrange your own transportation, help may be available through Island Volunteer Caregivers at 206-843-4441.

For information on the Warming Center’s operation during an outage call 911 or the Kitsap County non-emergency 911 line at 360-308-5400.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the warming center or for other emergency preparedness, please send an email to info@biseniorcenter.org.
