Image of the cover of Stamped remixOpen to all, whether you’ve read the book or not, this program offers a chance to explore the ideas that inform STAMPED, the BI READS For Social Justice for 2023. Participants can ask or answer questions, make observations, or simply listen and learn. This week we look Section Three, including William Lloyd Garrison, a white Anti-Racist active in the 1800s, and Harriet Beecher Stowe, who wrote the best-seller Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and what worked and didn’t in their efforts to fight racism. We’ll also look at what we can learn from these examples about to work to dismantle racism today.
