Colleen and Lars are enthusiastic amateur photographers, combining a love of travel and the outdoors with their exploration of the photographic arts. Lars also enjoys the relatively new field of drone photography. Colleen is a recently retired radiologist. Lars retired after a long career as a project engineer with the Dept of Defense, and now has an encore career as a realtor on Bainbridge Island.

The presentation is titled “A Taste of Death Valley”. The photographs presented were taken during a workshop at the end of January this year, and demonstrate the geologic diversity and surreal beauty of this fascinating and unique area. Colorful canyons, badlands, salt playas, desert dunes, mud flats and snow-capped peaks; these are just a “taste” of the attractions Death Valley has to offer.
