September: Ultimate Africa Photo Show by Tom Hansen
Africa is more than just large animals. I was fascinated by the people, birds, and vegetation too. And yes, there are animals too. Staying close to home both in 2020 and 2021, I revisited the photos taken in 2018 on a trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana and assembled them into a photo book. I did not want these images gathering dust in my computer or my coffee table so I extracted a wide variety of subjects for this show. I took up photography 6 years ago after I retired. I shoot a variety of subjects such as travel, dance photography, street photography, Macro, and occasionally wildlife. This was my first major wildlife safari. I have been a member of the BI Photo Club since 2017. I use Sony Mirrorless Cameras (A7RIV, A7II, and A6000) and my iPhone and edit photos using Lightroom, Topaz AI products, and Photoshop. The best camera is the one you have on you or the next one you are going to buy!
