Ferry construction update

Washington Gov. Rob Ferguson has committed to continued support for hybrid-electric ferries and included funding for additional ferries in his proposed supplemental budget that will be considered by the next session of the state legislature.

However, there are already some ferry contracts let to Eastern Shipbuilding on Florida and there’s funding allocated for improved maintenance for our ferry fleet. WSF’s Deputy Secretary John Vezina joins us to talk about all things ferries.
