Friends of the Farms – Food for Helpline

Heather Burger, Executive Director of Friends of the Farms, will talk with us about their new initiative – Shared Harvest.  This grassroots fundraising effort is in response to the recent cancellation of federal funding for local farmers and the corresponding drastic reduction of food supplies at the Helpline House food bank.

Using funds raised by the initiative, Friends of the Farms is purchasing fresh, locally grown produce, eggs, and meat from farmers and donating it directly to the Helpline House food bank.
