Kitsap Area Veterans Alliance is planning a “Stand Down,” a support meeting for Kitsap County veterans
Stand Downs refer to grassroots, community-based intervention programs designed to help the nation’s veterans. KAVA has sponsored 29 Stand Downs, starting with the first one on October 2007. And there’s one coming up on April 26. James McKenna will join us to talk about the upcoming Stand Down, and what kinds of services are available to vets and their families.
