New Center will provide resilience

The Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center will host a public podcast on Wednesday, July 23, at 1:30 pm to discuss how an expanded Center can better serve the community as a Resilience Hub. You are invited to participate by joining the presentation on Zoom.

In addition to Center Director Reed Price, the presentation will include Consuelo Crow (with King County Emergency Management), who is providing support for developing Resilience Hubs throughout the state, and Anne LeSage, the Emergency Manager for the City of Bainbridge Island, and others.

The goal is to build a hub that is not only valuable during times of disaster or emergency but can also provide services and support during “fair weather days,” helping to build community cohesion, neighborhood self-organizing, and strength.
