Veterans’ Stories

A diverse panel of veterans led by American Legion Colin Hyde Post 172 Commander Gary Sakuma will talk about how service changes lives. We’ll learn a bit about what it’s like to transition to civilian life after years of service and hear about some of the gains and losses our service men and women experience, and more. Questions are welcome! This will be a hybrid meeting, so a few in person seats will be available as well as the usual zoom participation option.

Along with a number of local folks, we’ll also meet Jean Belmont, a Suquamish retired veteran, and Domingo Almiroa, retired Marine, now the Chief of the Port gamble/S’klallam Tribal Police Department.
